KAUSA Regional Office Hamburg
The KAUSA Hamburg regional office is a statewide contact point for training and migration, attracting people with a migration background to in-company training and thus strengthening the dual training system. Through the KAUSA regional office's collaboration with mainstream institutions and network partners, Hamburg's training structures are supplemented with migration-specific approaches, concepts, and instruments. The regional office works particularly closely with the Youth Employment Agency (JBA).
It strengthens professional exchange within training networks. With multilingual information and low-threshold advice, it creates access to training for migrant companies and young people with a migrant background.
The KAUSA Hamburg office works with the following target groups:
Regular institutions and other network partners
The KAUSA regional office enables training stakeholders to exchange professional knowledge on migration-specific support tools. These include strategies for attracting migrant target groups or preparing migrant-owned companies to provide training. Representatives of the training stakeholders in Hamburg are represented on the project's advisory board, which provides technical support for the work of the KAUSA regional office.
Offers for migrant companies
The project provides information and advice to migrant-led small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on dual training. This contributes to increasing their participation in training. At the same time, companies already offering training are strengthened through continuing education opportunities to support them in providing high-quality training and successfully filling their training positions. These offerings are aimed at companies from all sectors.
Offers for young people with a migration background and young refugees
Migration-specific information and counseling create the conditions for starting training. Young people with a migration background and young refugees receive in-depth career and training counseling and, in cooperation with our partners, the JBA (Federal Employment Agency) and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, are placed in training companies.
Offers for migrant communities
In migrant communities, the Hamburg regional office of KAUSA provides information about the dual training system and offers advice on training prospects and services offered by the Youth Employment Agency. This helps reach parents who support their children in entering the workforce.
