“Migrant Female Business (MiFeB)”
- Start-up support for women with a migration background


Female founders with a migration background have to overcome a variety of hurdles: In addition to knowledge of economic structures in Germany, knowledge of the functioning and responsibilities of administrations and institutions, these include access to financing and funding opportunities and, in many cases, the necessary recognition of the professional qualifications acquired abroad.

The project "Migrant Female Business (MiFeB)" supports women with a migration background (Mgh) on their path to becoming entrepreneurs and addresses their specific needs and challenges with tailor-made offers. The aim of the project, which is closely connected to the hei.Hamburg Start-up Initiative The aim of this cooperative project is to increase the proportion of self-employed migrant women in Hamburg.


MiFeB’s offering includes:
● Advice and support in the development of initial ideas through to the finished business concept
● Information events with experts to impart specialist knowledge and experience
● Workshops to develop a business model
● Support in creating a business plan
● Networking opportunities with other founders and successful entrepreneurs with Mgh
