Volunteers at ASM: Active on many levels
Volunteers enrich the work of the association and its projects with their talents, ideas, and commitment. They also serve as invaluable multipliers, ensuring that a broader public is aware of the association's offerings. Last but not least, the full-time team benefits from the new perspectives opened up by external viewpoints.
For example, mentors with a migration background are currently working for refugee women as part of the "Neighborhood Lights" project at the Billstedt multi-generational house in the ASM project "Women Empowerment." These women are supported on their often long journey into the job market. ASM also coordinates volunteer support for the "Intercultural Garden Billstedt." Joint gardening and intercultural encounters bring local club members and people from the district together with trainees, scholarship holders, mentors, ASM employees, and the Hamburg Foundation for Migrants in the Outdoors. Both projects are funded by the Hamburg Mitte district office.

Trainee get-together
Trainees and those still seeking a training position plan regular meetings, sharing their personal experiences.
The participation of volunteers strengthens civil society and gives rise to new ideas and projects that could not be implemented without this commitment.
